Matthew Golden
Matthew Golden has been practicing law since 1997. He attended Transylvania University, the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. Immediately upon passing the bar, he was hired by the Jefferson County Attorney’s Office as a trial court prosecutor and tried his first jury trial three weeks later. Since then, Matt has been promoted to every position the office has to offer including First Assistant Jefferson County Attorney, the office’s highest appointed position. He retired from government practice in 2019 after serving County governments for almost 30 years. Matt continues to consult with several small cities, has served as the Interim General Counsel for TARC, and is currently serving as Chief of Public Services under Mayor Greg Fischer’s administration.
In addition to his public service, Matt went into private practice and spent the better part of two decades at the law firm of Naber & Joyner, where he focused on bankruptcy, debt restructures, property law and personal injury. He joined the firm of Daniels & Associates in 2015 as a partner. Over the years, he obtained many favorable verdicts and settlements for his private clients. Matt is most proud of a six-figure judgment and recovery against a mortgage company for fraud and a 3.85 million dollar settlement for personal injuries against a trucking company. He is very happy to continue to help his clients.
